Hi Felipe,
Another tactic I used (and still use) is to do labs but as "paper only" 
exercises.
 
Build up the lab configs on Excel rather than going to real kit.  You have to 
get syntax spot on, and that forces you to go to the doc CD to verify exact 
syntax, if you do not know it already.
 
You very quickly learn where everything is, because you are virtually looking 
everything up in the DocCD, you stumble across things that you may not 
otherwise see.
 
For every lab task, find out where you'd go in the config guides, and in the 
command refereces, (using master index if necessary).
 
You will learn the "holes" that are in the config guides, and where only 
command reference will do.  And unfortunately, you will learn the holes in the 
command references as well!!
