Many thanks to everyone who responded.

I was able to finally get to the root of the issue. Looks like I had adjusted
the IP MTU on my ingress interface between the ASR and the Adtran to the
appropriate level but only had the interface MTU set to 1522. As soon as I set
that to 1600 everything worked fine. Now, I am attributing the fix to this
change but I had made some others and this to me at least does not seem
logical, but I am not going to look a gift horse in the mouth this time. But I
will be labbing this up again to figure out exactly what i had done wrong, or
at least to confirm I can do it right in the future. So the problem managed to
get me down the rabbit hole a bit too far.

Now on to my next challenge. Hoping 3.9S will allow me to run EVCs on
ether-channels as documented. Currently on 3.7S.

Thanks again guys.

Eric

Hello Les, I would say continue changing the mtu on your pings until you see
the largest size you are able to ping, then make your mtu that minus 1500.
