Hi everyone,

I am working on AutoRP and ACL filtering of the announcements. The goal
here is to advertise group 232.0.0.0/5 , option2 below works just fine and I
get what I need for the task.

Questions:

a) is there a functional difference between option 1 and 2 show below?
b) in option 1 I see the group listed as " Group(s) (-)224.0.0.0/5" dose the
"(-)" preceding the group number, for this example ultimately mean: every
group except everything that falls in the 224.0.0.0/5 range?

Thank you,
Max

Option 1:

Group(s) (-)224.0.0.0/5
  RP 200.0.0.4 (?), v2v1
    Info source: 200.0.0.5 (?), elected via Auto-RP
         Uptime: 00:00:32, expires: 00:00:03

Standard IP access list task4
    10 deny 224.0.0.0, wildcard bits 7.255.255.255
    20 permit any

Option 2:

Group(s) 232.0.0.0/5
  RP 200.0.0.4 (?), v2v1
    Info source: 200.0.0.5 (?), elected via Auto-RP
         Uptime: 00:00:06, expires: 00:00:02

Standard IP access list task4
    10 permit 232.0.0.0, wildcard bits 7.255.255.255
