Joshua,

I let few others post their experience before I chipped in :-). I
think it's time now to give you my point of view.

The class I teach is not a beginners' class, even though from time to
time we get students who are not ready for that sort of an experience.
As someone said, you can't come over-prepared, as I will always raise
the bar and depth of the topics if students so need.

The web description of the class is a rough guideline, as every class
is different. I will cover topics that I believe are the most
important for the exam and go very deep into them. Class is *very*
interactive, with lots of questions flying back and forth (both from
students to me and from me to students). Classes usually start at
around 9am and "lecture" bits finish when we're done. Usually around
6-7, but some days it will be around 9 or 10, depending on the
questions. After that's done, you do your lab homework.

In the "lectures", I don't use slides and I don't write commands on
the whiteboard to show off my memorization skills. I will explain
concepts and ideas behind the technology at hand, then explore it in
the lab. Also, I don't build one single topology from Monday to
Friday, I instead have short focused examples that you can easily
repeat on your own with just a few routers.

Come prepared :-)
