My experience with the Volume 3 labs it they are made to be somewhat more difficult than the real exam. Also, unlike the real exam, some trouble issues overlap with each other. Which is not how the real lab is setup. The real TS section has 25-30 routers, which makes it easier for them to make a topology with individual issues that don't affect each other.
The Volume 3 labs are great to help you get into the troubleshooting mindset. But if you want a little bit of a more realistic practice to the actual TS section. Check out the ASET labs provided by Cisco. As long as you have access to Cisco "Partner Education Connection", they're free to use and there setup with 25-30 routers using the same IOU the use in the lab. They have two different scenarios to play around with, each with their own 10-11 tickets. It has the same feel of the actual lab. Unfortunately, unlike the IPexpert labs books, there aren't detailed solutions guides to walk you through the solutions.
