Elie
Based on the doc Wilson Tuma provided (great link, thanks) , when you would like
to include N1 or N2 you have to use a different command called: nssa-external
1 or nssa-external 2. If you only use "match external 1", E1s will be
redistributed but not N1.

Hope that clears things up.

Tom

Hello Sampath,

per my understanding , as the command implies
1- match internal : this when doing the redistribution go ahead and
redistribute all internal OSPF routes (intra, inter)
2- match external 1 : go ahead and redistribute O E1 and O N1
3- match external 2 : go ahead and redistribute O E2 and O N2.
you would use each one of these points based on the scenario faced.

router bgp 100
redistribute ospf 1 match internal external 1 external 2

Hi, I have a question regarding redistribution of ospf in to other protocols.

Looking at various workbooks, I see "match internal external 1 external 2"
being used in some answers and sometimes it's not used.

In what situation do we use this and when is it not required?
