Hi Anthony, The only way I could think of it working would involve a two logical routing instances (e.g. the GRT and a VRF or just using two VRFs) with an interface in each routing instance and a cable looped back between them but as you say, understanding the problem to be solved and the constraints around it would then allow you to select the appropriate tool for the job rather than necessarily considering the hack job I've identified :)
