Lifetime Lifetime is the total time an operation runs. For SLA validation, lifetime could be configured as "forever." Starting operations during troubleshooting usually limits this value, such as to one hour. Depending on the requirements, a mixture of both ad hoc and scheduled operations might be the right choice. Start Time This parameter offers an alternative to running operations forever or just once. You can specify a start time for an operation, let it run for a certain amount of time, and start it again the next day at the same time (recurring function). Note that the start time specifies only the operation's initial start time. In summary, the selection of operation parameters is a compromise between high measurement accuracy, low bandwidth consumption, and device and network resource usage, such as memory and CPU utilization.
