Hello Mohamad, This is about your second question :
when you redistribute routes into eigrp you will see their AD on the other router (R2 in your case ) with an AD of 170 . ( and this is what we are seeing). By default when you do the ip summary-address on the interface on R1 and you specify the summary network . This summary network that you specified is an internal network seen by other routers because it is done under the interface running the eigrp between R1 and R2, so if you go to R2 and do "show ip route (summary network) you will see a distance of 90. now what happened to the AD of 5 ! if you go back to R1 where you did the summary-address and do a show ip route (summary network) will see the AD of 5 (which is local only ) hope this help! Second, int lo0 20.0.0.4 int lo0 20.0.0.5 int lo0 20.0.0.6 int lo0 20.0.0.7 I have two routers (R1,R2) forming relationship between each other in eigrp, R2 has lo01,lo2,lo3,lo4..i redistributed them into the AS by redis connected route-map..... when i did show ip route eigrp it gave me the routes as external=metric 170,when i tried to summarized these route from R2 it gave me the routes as internal 90 ? Why was this happen,if i need the route to be appeared int R1 as /29 and the metric is 170,is this duable ? Sry guys i put alot of details, just want you all to imagine what i'am talking about...
