I think you could also configure root guard on the remote side of it's uplinks 
so if it attempted to be come root, the ports would become errdisabled.

if i have a group of 4 switches I know i can make one always the root by making 
the priority 0.

But how can i make one never the root... without using "Spanning-tree priority"?
