Remember that with OSPF we cannot summarise in the same way as with
other routing protocols. Each router in an area must receive all the
topology information for the area, and all the routers in the area must
have the same topology information.( The Link State Database will be the
same for the whole area.) So we can only summarise where routes are
injected into an area, at area border routers or autonomous system
border routers. (ABRs and ASBRs)
On an ASBR we use the summary-address command and on an ABR we use the
area /area-id/ range /ip-address mask /command.
