A sad story indeed. However with head injuries you cant be too careful. I had one about 6 years ago in a car accident and didnt go to hospital. Luckily everything was ok when I eventually went about a week or so later (debate is still in progress on that one!). But in all serious if you hit your head, even if you "feel ok" get your arse straight into casualty and get a scan done! Not of your arse (unless you broke that too) but of your head of course.
