Would you not need to migrate the Fa0/0 config to: int fa0/0.56 encap dot1q 56 native ip addr 140.10.56.6
and leave fa0/0 with no IP address? I didn't think you could leave an IP config on the "base" interface once you do VLAN sub-ints.
