Looking at the CCIE v4.0 lab blueprint I'm only seeing "Implement NetFlow" under Optimize the Network (10.03). With that in mind I would assume traditional NetFlow is what they are talking about here, but there is that catch-all section of "OTHER related topics may also appear"
I think the important thing is that you understand the differences between the two, and where to find it on the DOCCD should you see it on your lab day. //s -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Huang, Kevin Sent: Sunday, June 26, 2011 2:22 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] Original NetFlow vs Flexible NetFlow What's the difference between the two, and which one is the CCIE grading script looking for? I also have the same question as this one: http://certcollection.org/forum/topic/120537-is-there-another-way-to-configure-netflow/ I the past, I've always done Netflow this way: interface gi0/0 ip flow ingress ip flow egress ip flow-expert destination 10.1.1.1 ========== Apparently there's another way to configure NetFlow: flow record RECORD ... flow monitor MONITOR ... flow exporter EXPORTER ... interface gi0/0 ip flow monitor MONITOR input =========== Is it correct that the new way provides more granular definition of what to export and collect? The old way is much simpler to do, which means less chance of screw-up in the lab exam. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to which they are addressed.
