Perhaps the difference is... changing any configuration means changing an
existing configuration under the routing process vs. adding a configuration
under a routing process?

That is the only thing I can come up with

Hmm....while working on V1L9, 9.16, it states-
"Without using the bandwidth command or changing any configuration under a 
routing process....."
 
However, the DSG shows:
router eigrp 1001
 max-paths 1

Hmm...did I read too far into that?  Isn't that under a routing process?

brother out here...
