Welcome Michael!

There is no right or wrong way to study this stuff, you just do what works for
you. I take two weeks per section watching the COD's, listening to the AOD's,
and reading on the first week, and labbing the technologies on the second week.
It's a slow process but I find it's better for me to lab up after watching the
COD's then to wait until later. Here is a sample of how I study, cheers!!

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] Structured Learning Method question

Greetings,

I hope all are doing great. This is my first post, but I've been subscribed
for a while.

I know that the order of the learning method is VOD -> Audio - > Lab Workbook
Vol. 1 etc..

However I'm wondering if you think anything is wrong if I were to do something
such as.. VOD Day 1, then use a day of rack time afterwards to do the first few
labs that go with the switching technologies from day 1, even though they don't
exactly correspond..

Not that I won't do the labs again after I finish the whole VOD (as I'll be
watching over and over, as well as labs..).

I just feel I learn better sometimes when I do configurations while I'm
learning/cementing the corresponding technologies..

BTW I'm going through the CCIE R&S BLS. Thanks to all for any replies and I'm
happy to be part of the IPExpert Community!

Respectfully,

Michael A. Hackney
