I use GoodReader for pdf's. Dropbox/GoodReader is a great combo for getting
pdf's to the iPad. Download them to the Dropbox folder on my laptop and
they're ready to read on the iPad. I also use Dropbox for tons of other
things as well.

Evernote is awesome for work, study and home use. I've been keeping track of
my DocCD reading progress there - http://grab.by/9aUu

I use iSSH for terminal work but really haven't done a ton of that from the
iPad.

I also have a Kindle 3 and don't recommend that at all for Cisco reading. I
really love the device for casual reading but the smaller version does not
play well with Cisco pdf's. If you really want a Kindle for CCIE study go
for the DX.
