BGP backdoor allows you to prefer a higher AD route from an IGP through a
backdoor link over the lower AD BGP route.

Sham link allows the MPLS learned routes to appear as if they're intra-area
routes (vs inter-area or external) so that OSPF cost can be used to prefer
one over the other.
