Steve - we have been using this interface in our ILT and OWLE bootcamps for moths now :-). We have very good feedback from students about it. Many say it helped them a lot when they finally went to the lab.
Now, for the questions... #1 No, but it shouldn't matter. IPexpert topology has more devices than the real lab and cabling is somewhat different. This should not be a problem for experts. #2 Terminal is PuTTY and you have access to all Windows Calculator functions. #3 Everything is digital.
