Hi every one
I used Dynamips to simulate lab9 from workbook vol1 ..
in the beginning I enabled eigrp 1001 on all required but the thing is R7
and R5 can't establish neighbor-ship note that I used c3640 for all devices
and to simulate switches (routers acting as switches) I've used NM-16ESW
module and assigned the proper vlans :
R7 ip add 150.100.221.7 in vlan 2567 should be able to ping R5 ip add
150.100.221.5 in vlan 2567 but what i get is encapsulation failed message
when debug is on ..
both R7 and R5 are connected to different switches (routers acting as
switches) and vlan 2567 is allowed on all trunks and also created on all 4
switches .
I issued debug ip packet detail on of the switches which R5 is connected to
and I got this error
IP: s=150.100.221.5 (Vlan256), d=224.0.0.10, len 60, unroutable, proto=88
do I have to run eigrp on switches (routers acting as switches) and if so do
i use passive interface to limit the routes of the switches from entering my
table
what is the issue here as a result of course they can't neighbor with each
others .....
