A router puts the route into holdown state when update is received with metric of 16 (unreachable) ? A router puts the route into holdown state when update is received with metric higher that currently present in routing table ? ============================== router does not accept route when hold down timer is running.. it accepts only after it expires ..there is no way to stop holdown.. we must wait until it expires? router can accept route if metric is lower than present from same neighbor and its stops holdown? * -- Taqdir Singh -/Networks Excellence is not a skill.
