Let me add this- Is the listing of the networks commands to meet the need for the advertisement of the "connected" networks? I interpreted this as redist connected, but the DSG shows the correct way. This seems to be the reason for the network statements added, although those interfaces have been put into passive mode.
Would someone please verify this reasoning? Passive mode disables the EIGRP neighbor process, and the network statement specifies which interface to enable the EIGRP process.
