Try to learn the old way with Dynamips and Dynagen (command line). I used this
way mant times during my lab preparation and I noticed it worked fine. I used
GNS few times but I didn't like it.

Has anybody ever run into this.
I set up my lab GNS3 with 4 3550 switches. Everything looks ok. The next
morning none of the switches will talk to the router. Sh cdp neigh shows
nothing….
