Stick with gi0/x interfaces going to cat1 and cat2 as documented. The fa1/x is simply there for transition right now ------Original Message------ From: Mark Hanley Sender: [email protected] To: CCIE OSL Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] R&S Rack Cabling Sent: May 10, 2010 11:10 AM I have constructed a complete rack at work to mirror the hardware guidelines for the IPExpert R&S, except my switches are 3560Gs instead of 3550's. I tried to find the 3550's but could only find one, so I have to stay with the 3560's. Last night, when I was completing the final physical connections I ran into difficulties with the 3825 cabling. According to the documentation, 3825 interfaces connect as follows: 3825 f1/0 connects to cat1 f0/2 3825 g0/1 connects to cat2 f0/2 3825 g0/0 connects to cat1 g0/2 Does IPExpert have any documentation for connections to the 3560's given that the CCIE lab is now using 3560's? If not, what is the recommendation for connecting the 3825 with only g0/0 and g0/1 to the 3560 lab switches. _______________________________________________ For more information regarding industry leading CCIE Lab training, please visit www.ipexpert.com Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Regards, Joe Astorino - CCIE #24347 Sr. Technical Instructor - IPexpert Mailto: [email protected] Telephone: +1.810.326.1444 Live Assistance, Please visit: www.ipexpert.com/chat eFax: +1.810.454.0130 IPexpert is a premier provider of Self-Study Workbooks, Video on Demand, Audio Tools, Online Hardware Rental and Classroom Training for the Cisco CCIE (R&S, Voice, Security & Service Provider) certification(s) with training locations throughout the United States, Europe, South Asia and Australia.
