Guys, I could be reading the diagram wrong, for question 1 of the OEQ in Lab 7, the proctor guide states packets will traverse R2 to R3 to R4.
However, traffic should actually traverse the R2 to R4 link. Both R3 and R4 (ABRs) will be originating a type 3 lsa for any connected networks to router B: - R3 will be originating one with a cost of 20 (10 for the link between R3 and R4 + 10 for the link between R4 and B) - R4 will be originating one with a cost of 10 (10 for the link between R4 and B) >From R2's perspective, when R2 adds his local link cost, it will have: - 20 + 1 towards R3 - 10 + 10 towards R4 R2 will choose the lower cost path towards R4 with a cost of 20 as opposed to the path through R3 with a cost of 21.
