OK, now, joking aside. This is one of those things that you should be ready for.

As we all know, in theory there is no difference between theory and
practice. As demonstrated in this case, indeed, sometimes practice
proves theory wrong. That is no cause for panic and it's good that you
have seen and noticed this before the exam day. I'm sure that if this
happened to you on the exam, you would freak out. Since you now know
that it can happen, prepare everything as it should be, save the
configuration, reload the router and move on.

You will see plenty of this nonsense when dealing with "T" IOS that
Cisco so much likes to use in CCIE exam. (T stands for Trouble, btw).
