Why are you changing the console speed for?  The second you enter this
(assuming you are connected via console) you will essentially lose
your connection and only be able to change again via rommon.

The only real reasons to change the console speed are because debugs
come too fast and you miss characters or you are trying to transfer an
IOS over XMODEM.  You should never need the former because that means
you are running too many superfluous debugs and the latter is not
necessary these days because the flash on most routers is removable
and you can just copy it across using a card reader on a PC or via the
USB port on the router itself.
