And I'm glad ( along with lots of others I'm sure) that the plaque does not
mention then number of times that a person took the lab

I just left Cisco Live and ran into a lot of people. At least one told me he
was going for his 9th attempt at RS. I encounter TAC guys at RTP on the
2nd/3rd/4th attemps. And a friend of mine on TAC said a lot of his friends
were on the 3rd and 4th attempts last time we spoke.

It can take a while. Preparation is definately key.

Be careful and don't delude yourself about what you know and what you thnk you
know. Be sure.

Almost 80 points is not a pass and 79 points will never make a CCIE.

You are correct. Having a well thought out and PRACTICED strategy is important
to passing the lab.

My saying "Practice like you fight" comes into play.

Before I passed my lab, I put into play a solid startegy and practiced it on
every practice lab that I did.

My two cents.....

Read and draw out each scenario before you start configuring. Make sure you
have a solid plan of attack to meet "all" the requirements. Make sure you
can do the manipulations required by the task in your design.

Plan the work, then work the plan.

If you don't, they will lead you down a rat hole.

Ronaldo

Thinking positive and having confidence are some of the keys to
success in this exam.
I would say never ever think that u will fail in the exam in 1st go
and pass in 2nd .
Your shot should be best shot .. then only u could pass the exam . I
wont expect u to go for 1400 $ if u have a slight failing hope in ur
mind .

Be positive and think positive
