Regarding RSTP timers, if I'm given a directive to make sure a port comes online in 34 seconds, do I set the "spanning-tree forward-time #" to 14? Or to 7? I know for plain old STP (PVST+), I'd use 7 (7 for listening, another 7 for learning). But for RSTP, since it doesn't technically have a listening state anymore, do I still have to consider it in the calculation?
PG in practice lab Vol 3, Lab 10, Task 1.4 said to set it to 7. I just want to make sure I do it the right way.
