Hello Joe, Could you please tell me what IOS version you use in your 2610 BB Routers?
Labs Vol 3.9 & 3.10 use encapsulation dot1q on the Ethernet interfaces on these Routers. But so far I have NOT found an IOS version that allows do1Q on an Ethernet interface. I thoughy you could only do that with a Fast Ethernet interface. Could you please let me know? Thank you! --- On Wed, 7/1/09, Joe Astorino <[email protected]> wrote: From: Joe Astorino <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_RS] Question about topology To: "'Terry Vinson'" <[email protected]>, [email protected] Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 2:06 PM Hey Terry, Well, in our topology we have Cat2-Cat4 as 3560 like you said. I would have to go through every lab and really see if there are any situations where you HAVE to have a 3560 to do something on a particular switch. I have 2 3550's and 2 3560's. I see that the Version 11 Workbook 1 topology has 3 3560's, well that's not happening financially over here for quite sometime (if ever if my wife is to be believed). My question is where should I use the 2 3560's to get the best coverage of capabilities? I have to assume it will make a difference on some of the Switching labs, but I don't see a huge impact on the layer 3 stuff other than IPv6.
