Greetings everyone, We had to postpone the birding cruise with Steve last week due to the windy weather and hope that this coming Sunday will prove better. And in the meantime, we've spotted 3 chicks at the peregrine next on the Cliffs of Cayuga. We'll try to spot them on Sunday. Come if you can! Info. is as follows:
> DCL will be hosting a special Osprey Eco-Cruise with Dr. Steven Kress, a > retired Cornell ornithologist, this Sunday, May 25h from 4:30-6pm on board > our boat, the MV Teal (docked at the Allan Treman Marina). > > Peregrine Falcons, Ospreys, Bald Eagles, Herons and more call Cayuga Lake > their home these days and we have the great privilege of seeing them when > we cruise on the water. Of course, there's no guarantee, but we'll have our > binoculars out (we have some for you to borrow, but please bring your own > if you have them) and we're sure to see some other shore birds as well, and > to learn all about the fascinating lives of our feathered, water loving > friends who depend on the clean waters of Cayuga as much as we do. > > Our Osprey Eco-Cruises will be running all summer long (Thursdays-Sundays > at 4:30), but this will be a special one with Dr. Kress on board.
