I've seen a Yellow-rumped Warbler eating suet in the middle of winter once, so
what you saw doesn't surprise me. Mind you, it was -40° when I saw my
suet-eating warbler, so it would have been overjoyed to find any High-Energy
source of food.

Subject: [cayugabirds-l] Yellow-rumped Warbler eating suet!

A Yellow-rumped Warbler in my yard just now, eating a few scraps of suet from
the suet feeder before moving on. First I've ever seen that happen. Anyone else?
