“A planned illumination and guided hike at Taughannock Falls State Park for April 18, 19 and 20th has been canceled. Out of an abundance of caution, this regional centennial event is being postponed to avoid disturbing Peregrine falcon, a New York endangered species, nesting at the site this spring. Park staff and the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce will work on the feasibility of holding it later this year.”
