Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)

     12/7: A very late BLUE-WINGED WARBLER was photographed nicely on North 
Mays Point Road.

     12/10: A RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was seen along Rt.89 near Wilgoose Field. 3 
SHORT-EARED OWLS were seen in the Morgan Road Marshes.

     12 14: 3 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were seen at the Visitor’s Center. A 
RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was seen from VanDyne Spoor road. 234 SANDHILL CRANES were 
seen from East Road. 







Cayuga county

     1211: 11 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were seen at Fair Haven State Park.







Onondaga County

------------




     The RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD initially found on Doyle Road east of Baldwinsville 
continues to come to feeders and was present today.

     12/8: A RED CROSSBILL was seen in flight on Hoag Road south of 
Baldwinsville.

     12/11: A CACKLING GOOSE was seen with Canadas on Jamesville Reservoir.

     12/12: Up to 28 RED CROSSBILLS were still present on Shakham Road in the 
Morgan Hill State Forest . 12 EVENING GROSBEAKS were seen also. A HOARY REDPOLL 
was again seen with Common Redpolls on the West Shore Trail of Onondaga Lake.

     12/13: An ICELAND GULL continues on the Seneca river in Baldwinsville. A 
late GREAT EGRET was present south of the Honeywell Center of Onondaga Lake.







Oswego County

------------




     12/8: A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen on Bayshore Road in Oswego county. 
EVENING GROSBEAKS were seen on Wheeler Road in Altmar, in Minetto, on Fraser 
Road in Mexico and in Amboy Center. A young male KING EIDER and a BLACK SCOTER 
were seen at Selkirk Shores State Park on Lake Ontario.

     12/9: A RED-HEADED WOODPECKER was again seen on Selma Road in Central 
Square.

     12/11: A female KING EIDER and a RED-THROATED LOON were found in Oswego 
Harbor. 

     12/12: 7 SANDHILL CRANES were seen at Selkirk Shores State Park on Lake 
Ontario. A GLAUCOUS GULL was seen at the Sandy Pond Outlet on Lake Ontario.

     12/13: A KING EIDER was again seen in Oswego Harbor. EVENING GROSBEAKS 
were seen in Willianstown.







Madison County

------------




     12/8: A SNOWY OWL was seen on Musician Road in Earleville.

     12/10: 7 EVENING GROSBEAKS were seen on Crumb Hill Road near DeRuyter.

     12/11: A PEREGRINE FALCON was seen near Woodman Pond north of Hamilton. 11 
COMMON REDPOLLS were seen on Eden Hollow Road near Erieville.







Oneida county

     12/8: 43 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen in Durhamville. 

     12/14: A CACKLING GOOSE was seen in Waterville.







Herkimer County

------------




     12/7: A PINE GROSBEAK was see at Salisbury Corners north of Dolgeville.

     12/8: 10 EVENING GROSBEAKS were seen at Salisbury Corners north of 
Dolgeville.







Extralimital

------------




     12/13: An extremely rare for New York ANHINGA was found on the bank of 
Black Creek in Churchville Park in Churchville, Monroe County. It was still 
present today and offered close views to many birders.
