Birds were everywhere this morning. I went from 4 to 10 White Throated sparrows. There were the usuals too, Cardinals, lots of goldfinches, Song Sparrows, Blue Jays, House Finches, a pair of Purple Finches and tons of the cursed blackbirds. A couple days ago I had a Brown Thrasher which I rarely have visit. I have tree swallows and Bluebirds checking out nest boxes. Still waiting for my Catbirds and Orioles. The Titmice and Chickadees show up a bit later in the day, Blue Jays too. Right now I have hundreds of mostly Grackles in my back yard. Any way to get rid of them? I don’t mind a few, but this is ridiculous.
