After several years absence, a pair of killdeer are nesting in my sand riding ring again. I haven't tried to spot the eggs but one is sitting in the same spot for hours on end and this morning did the injured bird routine when my dog and I got too close.
They used to nest in the riding ring, then moved across the road to the edge of the neighbors gravel driveway. How long do they take to hatch?
