This afternoon around 1:45 I briefly saw a non-adult Northern Gannet at Sodus 
Point. The bird showed its wings, tail, and head proportions well. Was flying
to the west, crossed the channel a bit out into the lake. I lost sight of it as
it dropped below the horizon. I went to the old light house for some better 
views
of the lake, did not see the bird from that location.

I managed to get several poor images that show some field marks that separates 
it from some similar species:
