This evening about 6:30, while working in my garden, I heard the call of a Common Nighthawk among all the other birdsongs I was hearing. I quick ran out onto the lawn and did manage to get a look at it. It was flying east. Moving right along, and disappeared over the treetops. I did see the white bars on the wings. A nice surprise.
