The morning will begin with a guided bird walk led by Ben Freeman at the 
Lindsay-Parsons Biodiversity

 John Fitzpatrick, Executive Director of Cornell University's Lab of 
Ornithology will present "The Role of Land Trusts in Bird Conservation" 
following the walk at the West Danby Fire Hall.

8:00 AM: Bird Walk through Lindsay-Parsons Biodiversity

 Bring binoculars if you have them and meet in the parking lot.

9:30 AM: Coffee and conversation at the West Danby Fire Hall (located across 
from the Lindsay-Parsons Preserve).

10:00 AM: John Fitzpatrick presents "The Role of Land Trusts in Bird 
Conservation" followed by Land Trust updates and award presentations.

 is located about a 1/2 mile south of Sylvan Drive on the left side of the road.

Directions:
The Lindsay-Parsons Biodiversity Preserve is located in West Danby, about 8 
miles away from Ithaca. Take Rt. 13 south from Ithaca, then take Rt. 34/96 
south to West Danby. Most of the preserve is located on the east side of the 
highway, across from Sylvan Drive and the West Danby Fire Station. Ample 
parking is available about 1/2 mile south of Sylvan Drive, on the east side of 
the road. Entrance to the parking lot is at the top of a hill, opposite a house 
and barn.
