A walk along the trail from Weber St. to the end of the lake was pleasant and productive for birds. There were numerous HOODED MERGANSERS, RED HEADED DUCKS, a pair of CANVASBACKS and MALLARDS along with geese and beaver. We rustled up two WOOD DUCKS near the far end of the lake. There were quite a few ROBINS, one PHOEBE for highlights. The lake is open at the park end; it is filled with CANADA GEESE.
Enjoyed close ups of a FOX SPARROW today at the feeder in my yard.
