Just found a SNOWY OWL at the Broome County landfill. It
was being mobbed by crows as it sat on a power pole. The bird
eventually alighted on a smaller post and eventually
on the ground. The bird was too distant for decent photos
but clearly seen in scope on 70X. The bird was heavily barred
so likely it is a first year female. This is the second report of
SNOWY OWL in Broome County this year...the first was a couple 
weeks ago at the airport not far from the landfill. 
Not sure if it is the same bird...

Let the invasion continue. wow.
