This morning at ~ 8:30, the neighbors and I were serendaded by the loud, haunting, joyous calls of two COMMON LOONS on Cayuga Lake by Lansing! Have not heard such vigorous Loon singing since I was in Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario a month ago. Two DOUBLE CRESTED CORMORANTS swam in the vicinity, diving occasionally.
