The Cayuga Bird Club will hold its monthly meeting next Monday, February 11, at
7:30 at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, with cookies and conversation at 7:15.

Irby Lovette, Associate Professor in the Dept. of Ecology & Evolutionary
Biology and Director of the Fuller Evolutionary Biology Program at the Cornell
Lab of Ornithology, will present
"'Jays of our Lives' meets 'As the World Terns': The Soap Operas of Avian
Mating Behavior in the Wild". Birds have long served as metaphors for human
romance. In this Valentine’s week talk, Irby will discuss the complicated plot
twists of birds’ social lives.

The Club will also be hosting Irby Lovett for dinner at Taste of Thai Express
at 5:30 pm prior to the meeting. This is a great opportunity for members to
meet with Irby and others while enjoying some great food. If you would like to
join us for dinner, please RSVP to [email protected] by Sunday evening so that
reservations can be made.

Good birding this weekend! Hope to see you Monday!
