Nothing rare in my yard, but a few surprises: a few days ago I scared up two
Ruffed Grouse; this morning I counted 68 Mourning Doves perched together-
they've been here a while, no doubt feasting on the local corn harvest; and the
Raven I've been seeing and hearing for months is still around, flying over at
low altitude regularly-- can't imagine where it lives around here.
