Hi all, Yesterday Nick Sly, Shawn Billerman, Tim Lenz and I went up to the North end of the lake to look for Redpolls and other assorted birds.
The Redpoll flock found two weeks ago at Mud Lock seems to be sticking around there. We first saw about 30 COMMON REDPOLLS flying around the spotand they were quickly joined by several more groups to form a big flock that flew from tree to tree and constantly broke apart and reformed. We did see a HOARY REDPOLL several times in this group. We were able to locate the bird several times as the group flew in and landed. Tim managed to get some photos for our eBird checklist: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S12302004 - Brad -- Cayugabirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Cayugabirds 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CAYU.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
