This morning I have noted several STARLINGS, several male RED-WINGED
BLACKBIRDS, and 1 male GRACKLE at our feeders. The big surprise has been a
flock of 40-50 BROWN-HEADED COWBIRDS and RUSTY BLACKBIRDS (about half and
half). I first noticed them under a small apple tree at the back of the
yard; they then moved to a redbud where they spent their energies flicking
over the large redbud leaves looking for worms and insects.
