I did a hawkwatch from the hill at Sapsucker Woods today at lunch
time, which yielded two GOLDEN EAGLES, one adult and one immature, as
well as dozens of Turkey Vultures, a few Red-tailed Hawks, Cooper's
Hawk, Sharp-shinned, Northern Harrier. This was all with warm weather
and sunshine, but despite fairly strong gusting winds from the south.
Hawks seem to care more about the weather and less about the wind
direction than other birds, such as waterfowl.
