Wow!!! I just want to thank everyone who posted today. Dave Nicosia's list was great for those of us (ME, esp.!) who have great difficulty with shorebirds. I am delighted to see that coots & pb grebes are being seen again at the refuge. The last several yrs. almost none were seen.
Went by the Factory St. pond this afternoon. The beaver got the 2nd tree. Also, I had wondered why the strange appearance of the old willow on the NE side of the pond that for yrs. had 8 or 10 limbs down in the water. Today I had my binox ... the beaver has chewed them off!!! Now if she just chews the brush along the SW edge, maybe we'll have some clear viewing of hiding ducks. Two boats are parked along the street there to interfere with views. Again ..... thanks to all for "Henny Penny" & the sky falling, per Steve Fast. It's easier to hit the delete button than to be agitated by not knowing who's seeing what, where. You're truly a great gang.
