This morning, I birded the Hawthorn Orchard from about 7:45am to 8:30am. Again,
it was quiet, as I think it will be the rest of the spring and summer, until
fall migration begins.

I'll just note the likely (new) migrants (in caps) for today:

1 EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE (singing from the wooded area just West of the South rugby
field, between the gravel path and the stream).
1 ALDER FLYCATCHER (probably same bird as yesterday, singing and calling from
the SE corner of the Hawthorn Orchard)
1 Great Crested Flycatcher (singing/calling quite loudly from several tall
trees in the entire Hawthorn Orchard, but mostly the North section).

1 WARBLING VIREO (singing low in vegetation near oak tree in SE section of
Hawthorn Orchard; behaviorally it is likely to be different from the pair that
is nesting South of that location)

1 flyover Bank Swallow

1 MAGNOLIA WARBLER (singing in SE section of Hawthorn Orchard)

Good birding!

Sincerely,
Chris T-H
