Okay I know it's 'out of the Basin' but it's so close and it was so cool I"m going to report it anyway: Jane Graves and I heard a Nashville Warbler yesterday morning while hiking in the Finger Lakes National Forest. We also both got the best ever look for both of us of a Broad-winged hawk (at the same spot as the Nashville) circling right above us calling loud and clear. It circled again and again and against the bright blue sky was breath-taking. All in all we had a very birdy, very enjoyable hike, with lots of butterflies as well.
